Transport and Logistic 2011

On Friday Potteries Heavy Haulage went to the Transport and Logistic Trade fair in Munich. Attending only as a visitor on this occasion and were very impressed by the amount and quality of the stands. This was the first time we had been to the trade fair in Germany and were interested in seeing what project companies had been involved with and the latest innovations and news in Transport in Logistics relating to heavy lifting, schwertransport and transportation for indivisible loads.

 Whilst we visited most stands at the event and have a vested interest in all things Transport and Logistics we paid particular interest and had a conversations with representatives of the following stands:

• Magdenli - A Turkish based company with a project and heavy transport department
• Globalink - A Company with a vast operations including Road Freight, Heavy Lift and Project Logistics and Removals & Relocation's.
• GPLN - Global Project Logistics Network, a network for independent companies specializing in international projects movements by air, sea and land as well as specialized lifts and the special handling of over sized, out-of-gauge and heavy lift cargo.
• Panalpina - A huge company offering a variety of logistics services with a projects department.

The whole trip was enjoyed by all including the Trade fair but also enjoying the city of Munich and all it has to offer especially a round of drinks and some food in the Hofbraeuhaus especially the Münchner weisse and range of sausages. Munich truly is a fantastic city.
